A chemical company started producing a new chemical which produces cyanuric fluoride (C3N3F3) and diazomethane (CH2N2) as waste products. The process waste stream has a concentration of 200 mg/L cyanuric fluoride and 200 mg/L diazomethane. The flow rate of the waste stream is 1000 L/min. The effluent concentration limit is 5 micrograms/L for both of the waste products. Cyanuric fluoride undergoes a first-order decay at the rate of 0.5 min^(-1), while diazomethane undergoes a second-order decay at the rate of 0.5 L*mg^(-1)*min^(-1). The plant was debating between using a single-stream CMFR or PFR to treat the waste stream. Calculate the required volume for the CMFR and PFR to reach the effluent standards for both of those wastes.
