Examination of Needs
- Need for Love & Belongingness - The need for love and
belongingness is something that a person needs after their basic
needs of food, water, and safe shelter are met. A person is
motivated to form close friendships, interpersonal relationships,
and affiliating to a group for a sense of belongingness. A person
who has a family, good friends, a loving partner, a part of a
strongly knit community, and society feels their love and
belongingness needs are fulfilled. My needs for Love and
Belongingness have been fulfilled
- Need for Power- This can be defined as a need/desire to control
or influence other people. A strong desire to have power over
others and achieve higher goals. A person with a need for power
would strive for such power or authority and lead others. This
gives them a boost of self-esteem, leadership skills, and
motivation to strive for higher goals and aspirations. My need for
power is in a moderate sense and has not been fulfilled yet.
- Need for Freedom- The need for freedom is a very basic and
fundamental right of every human being. My need for freedom is
fulfilled
- Need for Fun- The need for fun is an essential one as a person
needs to be able to have fun as our lives are so preoccupied with
making a living, worrying about the future, putting food on the
table, securing our future, that we tend to forget to live in the
moment and enjoy our present. My need for fun works fine
- Needs of Survival (Physiological Needs) - The basic
physiological needs are food, water, shelter, a person needs these
things to survive as without food, water and shelter a person will
die of hunger, thirst, etc. My basic needs are fulfilled
