Why is Google encouraging developers to create apps for Google Glass rather than building those apps itself?
By letting the public explore their imagination and creativity, Google will widen up its range to meet customer’s needs and also end up reaching its goal to assist human as the complement to a person’s life.
Formulate different metrics that a wearable technology for fitness could provide a customer.
Efficiency metric- response time, accuracy of recording speed, time and distance, no of hours it can run on single charge, speed at which it can proved plans and recommendations such as calories burnt etc. Effectiveness metric – tracking improvements over time and plotting them to provide performance characteristics, matching it with data elsewhere to provide fitness levels across the world, using user data to provide the required results for the particular fitness requirement/plan.
Argue for or against the following statement: wearable technology invades consumer privacy.
We would argue for the statement meaning that it does invade customer privacy, with tech such as the google glasses and fitness trackers etc. the complete details of our activities and behaviour patterns can be captured, what we see, where we go and whom we interact can be collected with images and recordings, these are highly sensitive private data that when used could enhance user experience but it’s very prone to hack and misuse by organizations and malicious people. Even state agencies could use it to spy on people, without proper regulatory laws and secure mean of protecting the data it’s a major hinderance to wearable technology.
