What is the metacestode form of Echinococcus granulosus and why is it so very dangerous?
metacestode form of Echinococus granulosus is termed as the fluid filled vesicles that are generally separated into germinal layer (inner) which represents the living and metabolically active tissue of the parasite and the laminated layer (outer) which helps in making the direct contact with the cells of the immune system of the host (inflammatory cells). these are also termed as the unilocular hydated cyst.
well genrally the encysted larval stages of the pathogen do not cause any problem in the host (livestocks). bt when it comes to human beings the encysted larval stage puts pressure on the surrounding tissue and produce the leisons that occypy lager space. depending upon the size and the location of the cyst the signalos of the infecti9onh vary.the compression in the liver vwill cause jaundice, when it is present in the lungs it may cause chest pain and hemoptysis.when in the brain it causes epilepsy and even the blindness also. when the hydated fluid gets released it will cause various types of the allergic reactions.
