Do you believe the statement "perception is reality"? Why or why not?
"Perception is reality" to the perciever as the perception of situations or things depend upon the psychological and emotional aspects of the perciever. For example, rain is percieved as joy to a farmer who would be waiting anxiously for it, and the same rain could be a trouble to a office employee who has to walk to his office in the rain. Thus, the reality of perception changes from person to person. Another example is for preschooler learning alphabets and numbers is a difficult task, its their reality, and for a Class 1 learning words and basic mathematical operation is difficult, their reality. Thus, perception is what one believes to be reality according to their current perception of their situation, and their thinking. Thus, at individual or personal level "perception is reality" but, on broader level "perception is not the reality", there could be more angles or aspects to that what is perceived to be reality which has been overlooked or ignored.
