Post about email etiquette or management strategies on the discussion board.
List three strategies for positive email etiquette OR three strategies for maintaining work/life balance in a world of texting, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, constant email access, etc. Please number them 1, 2, and 3.
Three strategies for positive email etiquette:
1. Subject: The subject column should not be left empty. One must fill it with a meaningful and to the point line, which exactly explains the main objective of the email, that why it has been written and sent.
Usually, professionals with busy schedules do not open all the emails, therefore, there is a need for an accurate and significant subject line, in order to make one open your mail.
2. Formal: The email must look formal, and professional when it is written for the business motive. All the informal words and styles should be avoided while writing an email for business purposes. Grammatical errors and spelling errors should also be considered before sending them.
Employees and job candidates are judged by their respective superiors on the basis of how they write an email professionally. So, to avoid any unfavorable circumstances, care should be taken regarding the same.
3. Courtesy: While preparing the email, use very polite and courteous words like 'please' and 'thank-you' in the context in order to make them do your work. You must be generous and respectful to them. You must send the email by writing some courteous words to make them do what you want them to do.
But, care should be taken that the difference between courteous and informal should be understood and shouldn't be mixed up.
