A-How does family size affect the child’s development?
B-How does birth order affect the child’s development?
1-A child is born with an absolute intellegence of zero. The arrival of each additional child has teh effect of lowering the family's intelluctual enviroment.thus children from larger families grow up in a less enriched environment and tend to perform less well on measures of ability.
2-It is proven that firstborn children are offeed more individual and uninterpreted hours of their parent's attention which may in fact allow for relatievly greater gains in intellegence. The child in the middle is often dominated by the firstborn ,who is older, wiser and more competent by virtue of their age and the amount of individual attention they have received from their parents.By the time second baby arrives parents are usually worn down out and less liely to micro manage.firstborn are often described as being high acheivers who seek approvel. They are also cautious ,controlling and reliable.Middle children are often describbed as peacemaker. They often people pleasers and tend to have a wide circle of friends.youngest children are described as fun loving, outgoing ,carefree and self centered.Only children are often described as mature for their age,in part as they are likely to be primarly surrounded by adults. When coorelating people by their birthorder our personality behaviour and intellegence are impacted by many variables ony one which is our birth order.
