Answer: The following are some of the major/key difference between the implementation of the performance management in organization based on technical/rational view versus political/cultural view
1. The rational/technical view does not take into account the human side of performance and only focus on data, numbers and figures. The political and cultural view also takes into account the psychological factors like self interest , power sharing, motivation and so on into consideration
2. The rational/technical view strictly focuses only on the formal rules, procedures and standards while implementing the performance management while the political/cultural view also considers the soft factors like sharing of power, cultural values and so on while implementing the performance management inside the organization
3. The rational/technical view only considers the economic and profit maximization objectives while creating and implementing performance management while the political/cultural view also considers the political and cultural impact of the performance management
