Performance measures in the organisation depends upon the level you are working on in the organisation. There is actually a very positive yet related relationship which can be seen shared among the different individuals at different levels of the organisation. We can see that an employee at the lower level would be given quantitative performance measures and techniques to check whether the work performed by him/her is upto the standard or not. On the other the middle level managers or the departmental managers are provided with both qualitative as well as quantitative performance measures to take care of the quality standards of the resources as well as the output produced in numbers in accordance with the inputs provided. Top level manager's performance on the other hand are checked on the basis of change and growth they have made in the organisation and all the contributions for the achievement of the objectives.
Training, Development and Job Redesign helps effectively in
promoting the well performance standards and measures in the
organistaion.
While training helps the employees to equip with the strategic
skills for the short term proess, development helps them provide
with their overall growth and competency to achieve higher personal
objectives and goals for better performance. Job redesign is simply
redesigning the job by including different elements,
responsibilities and duties to make the employee interested for
his/her role and thus contributes positively for the performance of
the organisation and the job.
Incentive pay is one of the most strategic and motivational technique used by the organisations to make the employee feel motivated towards the achievement of their task and activities. It helps to provide a boost and drive within the employees by providing them an external motive for the job. Individual incentives like bonus pay, salary, extra compensation etc are provided to make them keep influenced and motivated towards their job. Team incentives like group activities, appraising employees at the team level, awards etc make them feel satisfied with their work.
