For somebody who has or currently works in the sports industry I have a few questions and if you could answer any I would greatly appreciate it. How did you get started in your field? What’s it like working at your company? What projects are you working on right now? What is your job like on a day-to-day basis? How did you choose this position or company over others in your field? What’s the most rewarding thing about working in sport? The most challenging? What advice can you give about how to best prepare for my future? What experiences, skills, or personality traits do you (does your company) look for in new hires? What do you wish you’d done differently in your career? What job (internship) search advice can you give to someone in my situation? What book/author/YouTuber/blogger/Twitter account do you absolutely recommend I read/follow?
I got started in my field with the help of my friends dad who used to be a promoter for sports events. I took his help together started in this field. My job in my company is like a 24 hour job with lot of stress I have to deal with so many and during the day of event and that before day I even used to barely sleep because of my work pressure. On day to day basis I am not having much work but If my company is taking any sports event than the real pressure starts where I will be Having a very little time period where I have to do lot of work and meetings to make that event succesful.
I choose this position as I am good with organising events by coordinating and that interested me to take up this job and I took this company because my Friends Dad is there to help me with any issues.
I used to organize these sports events for my company the most challenging thing is that you have to coordinate with so many people and see that evwrytheve goes on plan where there will be lot of work pressure on you and on the day of event it will be even more. The benefit is that if you are able to take that pressure and make the event succesful you will get a good pay.
The main thing I will his communication skills and his attitude as these both are important in my field because we have to do lot of communication with many people and sometimes we will get angry which we have to hold by not showing.
My suggestion is that give your 100% at work and get ready to take lot of pressure. Try to follow all social media platforms as it will be helpful for you to decide where to organize the event.
