Divisional structure

Flat structure
Functional structure: Business with less than 50 employees can have this type of organization. Employees are organized by their function. Some common functions are production, marketing, human resources and accounting. It improves the operational efficiency of the employees as they are specialized in their concerned area. The main draw back of this structure is rigid communication. In order to make the organization successful concentrate on horizontal communication not only on vertical communication to disseminate information and bring cooperation.
Divisional structure: organized by products. People who are producing and selling the products will come under a single division. They will have their own departments like marketing, sales and engineering. Organization's success is more possible due to delegated authority. The two major disadvantages are rivalary among separate divisions and increase cost to appoint qualified managers for each division.
Matrix structure: It includes both functional and divisional structure
Flat structure: In this organization no job title, no seniority, no managgeror executives. Every one is equal in this type of organization. It also referred as self managed organizations. Small size companies might be operate this type of organization model. The major cons are accountability and reliability due to absence of delineated structure.
