The market has seen a tremendous shift in consumer behaviour, with technological advances. Because of the technical disruption that affects customer behavior, most business leaderships face an constant challenge in fulfilling market demands. Market behaviour tends to be increasingly affected by internet-enabled smartphones and laptops, leading to the introduction of information technology. Technology has brought the control directly into the hands of the user.
The technology's most valuable position in customer service is that it helps increasing the pace of customer encounters. Customers no longer have to wait to talk to a representative on the phone on hold. Live chat on business websites, however, allows companies to support clients as long as they show interest.
Also many companies offer customers the option to use their cell phones to text them. That's a lot better than sending an email and waiting days for an response. Customers will get their questions asked, book rendezvous or make transactions within minutes. Customers are likely to solve their problems more easily with many ways to connect with businesses.
