Numeracy skill mean reasoning with the help of numbers and to understand things. With the help of numeracy skill, a person can solve a variety of problems. In day to day life, we do use numeracy skills to solve our problems.

Accountant in the office uses their numeracy skills for many of their office related work. Like if they want to know number of employees, they can count the employees. Even they can use for any office work. This is called basic numeracy skill.

If your mother asked you the total of the grocery bill and tells you to add more items to the list and than tells you to calculate the entire amount. In this, your numeracy skills will be applied.

Helping your children with their maths homework. Your kid asks you to help him with his homework given by the school teacher. You can use your numeracy skills, to help your kid.
