"The servant leadership styles are one where the leader exhibits behaviors that indicated their purpose to serve, this style is adverse to the traditional leadership style because it puts the needs of the followers at the forefront of the leading priorities. This style of leadership promotes autonomy and the ability of the follower to dictate the role of the leader. Notably, certain companies who have chosen the servant leadership model as their preferred leadership model are Starbucks, Marriott and Nordstrom, each in different facets of the professional world that have made the concept profitable."
1. Servant leadership style is a style wherein the leader tends to serve his team and the organization. This style enables the leader to share his power emphasize with his employees and help his team members develop in the organization.
2. The servant leaders motivate the employees and ensure them to involve in decision making process and that is a major strength for the leaders where they focus towards increasing the interest level of the workers.
3. The servant leader always focuses towards the customers and ensures to provide quality outcomes and creates win-win situations.
4. The leaders always encourage and motivate towards diversity and that turns to be their strengths as where the workplace helps the employees to understand their benefits and growth in the organization.
5. Servant leaders would always create a positive work environment and promote and encourage the subordinate towards increasing their work contributions.
Example:
Best example for servant leadership would come from the political side namely Abraham Lincoln, the US president; he focused on the idea of serving the people rather than using his power for the development of the country. His two characters which presented him as servant leader was his revolutionary ideas and change management skills.
