Difference

Endocrine system

Endocrine system refers to collection of glands that produce hormones to control functions of the body.
Use hormone for the transmission of signal to the effector organ.
Signals are transmitted through out the blood.
Control growth, hydration level, sexual maturity, production of gametes, glucose level etc..
Effect is widespread.
Composed of glands.

Nervous system

Nervous sytem refers to network of nerve cells that coordinate function of body by transmitting nerve impulses.
Use neurotransmitter to transmit the signals to effector organ.
Signals are transmitted through nerve cells.
Control heartbeat, muscle movement, digestion, breathing, speech, memory etc..
Effect is localized.
Composed of nerve cells that are arranged in the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
