"Unemployment" and "Employment" both are considered as macro economic terms .It helps an economy to measure the changes in which labour market activity.It provides comparison across various sectors.Oman,one of the Gulf nation gives more emphasis for crude oil extraction and it has employed people even from various countries.

Oman as any other nation witnessed both the employment and unemployment conditions as it depends upon the demand and supply factors of the labour force in an economy.Over the past ten years the report on employment and unemployment condition is given by World bank and it is shown in the form of Table 1 and Table 2.and it helps for the analysis of change parameter that has taken across various sectors including economic ,political and social sectors in Oman economy.

Table 1,indicates the unemployment rate in Oman and it is clear that in 2010 the rate was 5.02 per cent compared to 2011 it was 4.62 per cent where annual change of -0.39 per cent can be analysed.In the same way 2019 witnessed lowest employment rate of 2.67 per cent.

Table 2, indicates employment rate in Oman as stated by World bank in its report.In 2010 the employment rate was 31.03 per cent and very next 2011 witnessed the highest rate of 36.88 per cent and in later years again there is a decline in employment rate and in 2019 it was 32.98 per cent

Conclusion:

Unemployment and employment rate both help economy to come up with new reforms so that the growth rate can be sustained for economic change which in turn helps for the change in world economy to know the rankings in various economic indicators of measurement like PQLI,HDI etc.
