How have operations, volunteers, protocols, and funding changed during the pandemic? How has access to these food assistance resources become more difficult? What items have been limited during the pandemic and what impacts has it had on emergency assistance? What changes have you seen in your communities?
This pandemic is that we never experienced in our life time.
Everything is new to us. Only the early 1910s people have
experienced the similar solution SpanishFlu. There was a standard
protocol followed by the government in this emergency
situation.
Priorities in funding was given to Relief and emergency health care services. Volunteers paved the most important rule in this pandemic. The coordinated between the government and the people and arranging relief materials and medicinal supplies.
Despite this lockdown, transportation services are heavily affected. Acces to food market and resources were most difficult. They were curbed to stop the spreading f disease. The raw materials were unable to reach markets and there was a problem in food production.
Resources allocation, medical supplies, food items are limited in this pandemic. It had major impacts like shortage of food and medical supplies, less labour and high wages.
I have seen a tremendous change in communities. People started to make gardens in rooftops and in homes. They took care of themselves and switched to old systems. They avoided outside foods . They started to live as a community.
