In: Operations Management
Answer is: Case Control.
Here two population, one with diagnosis for neonatal Jaundice and one without, has been chosen. Then the delivery records of their mother has been checked in order to find the prenatal or perinatal exposures to risk factors.
Hence here two cases (one positive and one counter) has been reviewed to find the reason.
So this is a case control study.
Why other options are incorrect:
Ø In cross sectional only one population has been checked. So here this is not the case
Ø In prospective cohort the similar individuals or cohorts should be studied. But here one with and one without the diagnosis has been studied.
Ø In randomized controlled trial, the population should be allocated randomly. But here separate population has been considered and then studied.
