Which would you use RFI or RFP for a new EHR?

RFI means request for information and RFP means request for proposal and EHR means electronic health record.

For anew EHR I will select RFP.

- A health care RFP will provide information to suppliers and contractors about the facility seeking, facility expansion, new technology implementation, insilation of durable equipment etc.

- Successful health care RFP gives an outline of the project, discuss project specification and format for wide distribution and response across an industry.

- Clients use datas to find new opportunities to expand marekt reach.

- RFP requiers legal or regulatory requirements to ensure the health care facilities to protect against fraudulent service providers and guarantee the authenticity of both RFP and responses from suppliers.

- It offers equal access for a large scale and small scale companies. This will help small suppliers as bidding offers equal access to wide variety of business and also helps to weed out unqualified or illegitimate suppliers.

- allows hospitals to ensure that they are getting the best value. Once offer is submitted it is easier for management and other decision makers to justify the cost and time frame associted with the product or service they seek. Suppliers will offer free consultation, eduducate why their product or service is the best. This will help to analyse whether the product or services they receive came at a good value.

- Gives the hospital leverage when other suppliers put pressure on suppliers to offer the most competitive pricing and most efficient services possible.

- Best practice :- this process facilities open, honest,and legitimate negotiation that allows all stake holders to remain educated on the status of business discussions.

- This will also help in revenue cycle management, staffing services, new building construction etc.
