Describe how Native Americans and Latino Americans have adapted to the dominate culture.

One of the most important ways the minorities are integrated into the dominant white culture is through assimilation which occurs through either voluntary or forced. Although initially many minority groups were forced into the dominant culture by teaching them the language, making them Christians and adopt the cultural and religious practices of the majority, later they themselves wanted to assimilate themselves because they found no good to be with their own cultures as they would be discriminated. Secondly, minorities were discriminated from education, employment, property, healthcare etc. and this would mean sticking to their cultural practices would land them in more trouble thus, they wanted to identify themselves with the majority culture by adopting them voluntarily and raise their children with the majority cultural values and practices which helped with the smooth integration.
