Do you think that active video gaming usage can limit emotional and social intelligence?  

Please provide at least three reasons that clearly support your point of view.

It is true that active video gaming makes limitation in social and emotional intelligence of the children.

For spending much time in video gaming the children do not get time for social interactions with other children. They remain confined at home. The level of their friends circle is also limited. They do not have many interaction with other children. A child needs to communicate with the social members and through interaction the child is aware about the social norms. A relationship is established with the child and the social members and in such relationship the child comes to know the intimacy and depth of the relationship. It is also emotionally attached. If the child evidence from such interaction and remains in gift in video gaming he fails to understand any emotional response to any community members.

In family there is also lack of attachment when the child remains engaged in video gaming. Even after the game his memory develops a kind of craziness and addiction to the video game. He cannot concentrate to the other activities. He appears to be more aggressive to his family members ignoring the family relationship. Naturally there is emotional problem.

When a child plays with other children he develops group psychology and he learns cooperation. He comes to know how to be attached with friends. When a child is engaged in reading books his cognitive development occurs smoothly. He feels emotional attachment with various types of facts in the stories. Similarly if a child is engaged in conversation with family members or gardening or other activities that need other persons then the child grows familiarity with others. Such things help the child to realize others . But when the child is engaged in video gaming it appears that such dull game makes the child's emotion also dry and the child loses many human qualities.
