It is the information security incident which has an adverse event in the information system and/or the network security with respect to the availability,integrity as well as confidentiality.

Some of the incidents which happen are:

1) Natural disaster like the flood, typhoons, rainstorms

2) Theft as well as burglary

3) Hazardous from the surrounding

4) System crashes

5) Data line failures

6) Packet flooding

7) It is the unauthorized access or the use of the system resources

8) Unauthorized system privileges

9) Web Defacement

10) System penetration as well as intrusion

11) Massive virus attacks

Let's talk about the network intrusion which is referred to as the unauthorized acts of the computer network where the detection of the intrusion depends on the defenders which would have a clear understanding of the how this attack would happen. There are intrusion detection systems and tools which can help in blocking the intruders. It can be Denial of Service, Man in the middle, password attack, Drive by attack, phishing attacks, SQL injection attacks, Eavesdropping attack as well as Cross-site scripting attack.
