1)There are four behaviours of leadership and directive leadership style is one of them among four and it is one of the most common style used today.In this The directive when begin a project,give responsibilities to their direct reports to make the project complete fully and applying the particular standards to work to ensure best quality.

The nature of Directive leader is to focus on their own experiences over the experiences of others.Its their duty set aim to vision and mission and the Performance is determined by how skilfully tasks are going.

The importance of Directive Leadership are-:

a)It provides structure to unstructured task-The directive leaders are more successful when their knowledge and skills they learned are used to apply on specific structures and when the team is un-skilled then this type of leadership can be applied to this situation to get best outcome.

b)It is easy to learn-Directive leadership,leader can approach to team to give them work to do and assign them specific tasks.Leader Don't need to be trained in specific way to use this type of leadership.

c)Directive Leadership can motivate workers well as in many cases the workers become unmotivated for many reasons and directive leadership ensures that worker will complete their tasks as the staff knows they could loose job if not do the assigned task

SUPPORTIVE LEADERSHIP-These are the Leaders who focuses on indicate what changes need to be done to the company  and support required to make sure for the well being of the team and in return expect high productivity.

This leaders do not aim to give orders to the employees in any aspect to produce results, instead supportive leaders work through all the tasks of the staff to improve skills and solving problems of the employees.

The companies are benefited from supportive leadership in following ways-:

a)Encourage team support-It is one of the important aspect of leadership and is done by building a skilled team than can do the task well and leader do not assume that every staff know the work to be done and they encourage the team work by  keeping many channels of communication open for all and request feedback.

b)Commitment-Individuals support their teams well by showing the devotion to the work that is assigned to them.This shows if leader is fully committed to the work then their team is also fully committed to work.

c)Focus on relationships-Leader should have best relationships with their staff as it may help in increased productivity of work for the team and make them profits as it the leader is good in maintaining relations with employees then employees in return show gesture by making full dedication towards the work.

I recently visited a BPO calling centre to review the work i saw there leader was following supportive leadership as he was solving all the queries of his team members and all staff were satisfied with the leader and doing their work with full dedication.
