What role did economic play in the Era of the age of exploration?

One of the most important reasons for the Europeans to find new lands was material resources. Europe was becoming overcrowded and the resources were becoming scarce. It is at this point almost all the kingdoms sponsored different companies to look for different lands to bring more resources back home. The economy was also slowing down because of lack of raw materials. Searching for gold was another important reasons why more people looked for new lands. This prospect of economic prosperity made more people risk their lives by crossing the dangers in the oceans around the world, especially, The Atlantic Ocean. The economic advantage of the Europeans and the technological advancement gave them enough power and opportunity to overpower others in the African and Asian countries. All the European countries were becoming predominantly industrialized and needed more material which was supplied or rather robbed from the enslaved countries.
