Ethical absolutism can be defined as the philosohpical principle which states that moral commands are true at all times regardless of the culture or circumstances.For example murder would be considered ethically wrong no matter what the circumstances were that lead to murder.

Types of ehtical relativism:

Ethical relativism can be defined as the belief that morals and values are relative to different societies and contexts. The different types of ethical relativism are as follows:

  • Descriptive Moral Relativism can be defined as the moral relativism based on proven, deep and widespread moral disagreements across different societies
  • Meta-Ethical Moral Relativism can be defined as the belief that the truth or falsity of moral judgements isnt absolute but is relative to the traditions, convictions or practices of a particular group or society

Ehtical relativism may lead to ethical subjectivism where every ethical decision is subjective and therefore correct.
