Salon owner/ Manager:
Roles and responsibilities: Head of the Salon.
- Manage day to day promotional activities and training to the
employees to treat the customer.
- Manage the inventory of the store and sales of its products
related to Hair, Nail, and Legs. This ensures more products to be
introduced into the market and encourage new products also.
- And ensure cleanliness across the floor which includes the
utilities and instruments and attendance of the employees.
- Handle employee issues and tactfully answering them to avoid
further aggravation.
- Ensure the payment to be employees on time and other bills on
time to avoid further notice from the concerned dept.
- This role can be later given to another level once the Salon
turns profitable.
- Maintain the trackrecord of the functions for finance,
operation and inventory.

Salon hairstylist/ Technician- 3 nos.

Hairstylists, nail technicians, color specialists, estheticians,
trichologists and makeup artists commonly work as peers within a
salon.

It would be better to employ one specialist and 2 hair
specialists depending upon on the initial phase. Later the number
can be increased as per the profitability.

Receptionist:
- He/She takes down an appointment from the customers and ensure
to avoid the waiting period for the customers.
- Responsible for introducing the new offers and products and
their qualities.
- Treat customers with delightful music and some drinks if
needed.
- Arrange the magazine / newspaper.

Attender:
- Maintain cleanliness of the store and help the technicians on
their work.
- Arrange the inventory in the store and purchasing
activities.

2. It is always recommended to have an optimal span of control.
With respect to the mode of operation, the organization structure
should be Flatly organized. once the company flourishes across the
state or country.
This will eventually drive the below:
- Encourages delegation. Managers must better delegate to handle
larger numbers of subordinates, and grant opportunities for
subordinates to take on responsibilities.
- Agile. Improves communication speed and quality.
- Reduces costs. More cost-effective because of fewer levels,
thus requiring fewer managers.
- It helps prevent the workforce from disengaging by focusing on
empowerment, autonomy, and self-direction.
This way the company can be divided into territories and each
territory can be brought under one zone like South, north, east and
west. There should be delivery heads for each zone and under them
will be the employees as stated in the organizational chart. That
way each manager of different units is individually reporting to
the zone head through an ERP system to ensure seamless
operation.

disciplined.

- Good location to be identified with maximum space for seating
