One of the most important responsibilities of a government is to protect the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the people, apart from providing the basic needs such as food, water, shelter and education. Most of the time, this responsibility stops with the physical wellbeing where people are given enough information and facilities to treat the physical and social issues but the mental side is left unattended for various reasons, since not many people explicitly talk about the mental health. Besides, people shy away to get information and treatment for mental health for the fear of negligence from the society and the number of places where they could get help for mental illness or gain information on mental health is also less. Only mentally healthy people can be productive to a country and others will be equally dangerous, thus providing mental health information becomes the principle policy support of a government.
