When the DFB was overcoming the crisis and over taking competitors, which key. measures did it implement, and how were these mearsures related?
topic is German football
The period from DFB being at the bottom in 2000 to winning the 2014 FIFA world cup was the one filled of reinventing and rebuilding for them. They tried their best to improve their situation and overcame all the competitors and rised to their top level. The key measure it took to reinvent themselves and leave competitors behind is very inspiring for everyone , especially for the corporate world as it shows their management to overcome problems by taking risks and making powerful strategies, managing innovations and crisis management. The DFb team developed a youth development program to identify the young good football players. This program would also train young talents and the youths of the country. They built one more strategy of supporting in the career development for getting them into professional league clubs and at the national level . This program not only helped them overcome the crisis but also regain competitive strength.
They also focussed on overall physique and personality of players then than just focusiing on their physical strength . They understood that it was important to understand and develop their internal ability , skill and technique to play the game.So they also diverted their attention from only having the training of running to teaching skills and technique and having a varied training for the players as well as the youths. The DFB built a whole club named Bundesliga to train youths for football and they would often send their inspectors to go out there and check the training and also put these young players to test to better understand them and the situation.
They also invested very mindly and intelligently. They introduced the "50% plus one" rule in 2001, which requires Bundesliga clubs to be owned by their members, has helped to promote homegrown talent. In the absence of foreign benefactors it makes financial sense, and also appeals to the supporters in control, to give young German players an opportunity.
All these measures were related as they all focussed on the development of the team as well as of their country's national football team. All these measures were related because each of them's ultimate goal was to built a strong teamm for the nation and to perform well.
