ASX ordinary index are including the TOP 500 companies which has been listed on the Australian stock exchanges according to the market capitalisation and it can be said to be a VALUE WEIGHTED index because the index is based upon the price along with the outstanding number of shares so it is the top 500 companies which are listed in the Australian stock exchange according to the market capitalisation,So, it is a value weighted index.
