The right to vote has been expanded several times throughout US history (to people who don’t own land, to former slaves, to women, to 18-year-olds). Consider expanding the right to vote to another group of your choosing. Describe an argument for and an argument against. Would you expand the right to vote to this group?
The people who are not permanent residents of the states should get voting rights because they have a different perspective of seeing the government in power and they actually face all the laws and rules laid by the government. In every country , the people of that country are divided into 2 groups- people who support govt and the ones who don't. The non permanent reisdents are neutral people who actually understands the good or bad. There are disadvantages of this also as non permanent residents at times don't understand who's actually good or not as they don't know the history or they haven't been in a country for that long to decide. But as we all know there are always 2 sides of coin. I think non permanent residents should not get voting rights since it is an internal affair of a country and until and unless one knows everything about that country, they shouldn't vote as it would be unfair to others.
