What are the differences among charter schools, private schools, and home schooling? Which would you place your children in and why? TWO TO THREE PAGES
CHARTER SCHOOLS
These are those schools which are funded by the government but are independent, they are run by the public funds given to them, these schools operate on their own hence they are not really called public schools. these can be established by parents, groups of people or teachers under the terms of the charter, so basically if you want to open a charter school you have to make a contract with the government and if it runs by governments terms then the state funds you for it. these schools are accountable to the state for how they are working and performing, they have to maintain the promises of performances they have owned to in the charter and failing to do so might close the school.
PRIVATE SCHOOLS
Private schools are those schools which depend upon there own funding, these schools are independent and the state has nothing to do with these schools they are not administered by the state.they are basically funded by the tuition fee they charge from the children and not by any local taxes of the government or anything. you have to be wealthy and give a lot amount of money to make your child study in a private school. some of these schools also give you scholarship which lowers the tuition fee.
HOMESCHOOLING
Homeschooling is basically where your child do not have to go to a particular place which is called school to study, in this your child can study at the comfort of your home by the parent or by the teacher coming to make your child study at your home or by the online teaching methods where he can attend classes online and does not have to go there. homeschooling has really come as an advantage to those children who are physically less abled as they are not sometimes comfortable going to the school and sometimes cannot go to the school. parents also prefer homeschool due to the lack of proper education in local schools or when they do not like the environment of the schools like they are afraid that their children will be bullied and etc.
while many believe that homeschooling can be disadvantageous as children may lack skills by staying at home which they only learn when they go to a school and interact with various other children
Which would you place your children in and why?
ok, school choice is a personal matter, it depends upon whether you want to spend a lot of money on your child's education or not. depends upon the school to school. as charter schools accept children on the basis of lottery or application I think it would be a little difficult to get your students there but if you can I think public schools or charter schools are best where they have particular standards to maintain and the state keeps a watch over them.
