Describe the key steps of a situation and audience analysis. Which of these steps do you believe are the most challenging to implement? In your opinion, what connects the situation analysis to the other steps in the health communication plan?

Situational Audience analysis considers the factors that are mainly the size,physical attributes that are key characteristics related to the specific speaking situation, which helps to discover how far the audience state of mind has been influenced.

Audience Analysis is very important for identifying the specific type of audience and adapting a speech to their level of understanding, attitudes, interests and beliefs which helps to improve the speaker effectiveness when and only the presentation is created being delivered to them in prompt manner. The Audience Analysis will help to make the good choices in style of presentation, language and other aspects of the speech. The Audience are better served according to their needs and interests, if those factors are well-known to the presenter. The Audience Analysis has to be maintained in such a way that;

1.The Potential Audience has to be identified

2. The Audience Priority has to be chosen

3. The Audience Priority characteristics has to be identified

4. The Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices has to be identified

5. The Barriors and Facilitators has to identified

6. The Audience Segmentation has to be considered

7. Finally the Key Influencers has to be identified

According to my opinion, The Situation Analysis is very essential and important to determine the health of the Business, wherein which helps to determine business strategy within Marketplace. It is vital to analyze the internal and external factors of the business inorder maintain proper communication channel throughout every phases, which clearly helps to identify the potential customers, business capabilities, competitors,suppliers, business environment and their impact on the company. The Situation Analysis connects for creating proper health communication plan includes:

1. Health issue has to be identified

2. The Problem statement has to be Developed

3. The Vision which is being shared has to be drafted.

4. The Desk Review has to be conducted

5. The Scope of Review has to be decided.

6. The Relevant Information has to be identified.

7. The Data has to be reviewed and organized.

8. Finally the findings has to summarized which is analyzed from the data.

The Situation Analysis has to be implemented inorder to evaluate projected growth,assessing the competitors, encompasiing the comprehensive policies, strategies and plans by targeting the specific objectives of the business and identifying the factors which hinders those objectives.

  • The Problem - its impact and size.
  • The Situation of the Health - Its characteristics such as size, No.of people affected, Capacity of the system to address it.
  • The Access of the Media and Communication infrastructure
  • The efforts put into the issue - Current, past, and efforts in planning to address the issue which are closely related.
