powerful tools that are utilized by business organizations. It
helps in decision making process and it can be used by any business
or industry.
GIS takes the real world raw data and analyze
it, build into a model by applying some operations and gives the
output data. It collects the data from different areas and it can
store the large amounts of data.This collected data is modelled,
analyzed with some patterns to give the accurate data.
GIS are used in many fields like finance, marketing, accounting,
business intelligence etc.. The processes which enhances the
utilization of GIS systems are following as :
- Mapping : Mapping is the process of
representing geographical data visually. The Geographic Information
Systems are used in mapping different locations. It stores the
locations of new places on earth in a database. It collects that
data and analyze it to modelled into a visual representation of a
geographic map that shows the locations. Many industries or
organizations used this maps to communicate or for different
purposes. So for creating or mapping of different locations , GIS
utilization is increased.
- Networks : GIS systems are more untilized in
implementing networks. Network is a process of creating wireless
communication path. It allows the people to communicate with each
other from anywhere.
- Business processes : GIS utilization is
increased in business processes like decision-making process,
querying etc. This GIS systems are more utilized by business
organizations to use the information provided by the GIS systems
and to take perfect decisions about business ideas.
- Data analysis : Data Analysis is a process of
analyzing data. For this process, the utilization of GIS is more
increased because GID analyzes the data who means it collects the
data and examine the data. From this , a new accurate data is
received as output.
- Data modeling : Data modeling is a process of
model the data. In this process, GIS's are more utilized because it
format the raw data into a particular model that means it formats
the data in a structure.
Therefore, Geographic Information Systems are more utilized in
different areas for different purposes.
