  • 3.Procedural memory (“knowing how”) is the unconscious memory of skills and how to do things, particularly the use of objects or movements of the body, such as tying a shoelace, playing a guitar or riding a bike.
  • These memories are typically acquired through repetition and practice, and are composed of automatic sensorimotor behaviours that are so deeply embedded that we are no longer aware of them.
  • Once learned, these "body memories" allow us to carry out ordinary motor actions more or less automatically.
  • Procedural memory is sometimes referred to as implicit memory, because previous experiences aid in the performance of a task without explicit and conscious awareness of these previous experiences, although it is more properly a subset of implicit memory.
  • The things I can do based upon my implicit memory would be dance, that is something which comes unconsciously and naturally to me,since I have learned a specific form form of dance for over 8 years and so now after years of practice I can do any kind of dance.
  • Also,I am good at remembering lyrics of the song and even completing them when someone is singing.I guess I am good at it since I did used to sing my songs when I was learning how to dance,so for my performances I did reherased a lot of songs and also I have an inclination towards music and love singing to any song I listen.
  • I am also good at remembering places I visit right from how the place looked like and what was happening at that time in that moment, maybe because I have good observational skills and like experiencing and learning and exploring new things. It stays in my long term memory, since I keep thinking and revisiting that time in my head most of the time.
  • Due to time limit, remaining questions can be asked as another question, they will be answered, thankyou for your cooperation
