think the challenges that you will face in the foreign
country provide to challenges with brief explanation. And how you
will
come over it.
If I decide to open a branch for Oman Air Company in UK, the challenges faced in a foreign country can be-
1. The competition from the existing foreign and local players will be a major threat. Since they will be present for a long time and will have a well-established network, hence it will be difficult to compete with them.
2. Opening a new company is always difficult in a new country since it takes time to get the trust of the consumers. Since most of the consumers are loyal to their local companies or already existing ones, hence to create trust among people is a challenge.
3. Understanding of the market is very important for a firm to create its strategies. If it is a new country, it takes time to get used to the market and consumer behavior and hence, make strategies accordingly.
4. The operations can prove to be costly initially since the company doesn't have a strong network, and might not be aware of the legal rules and regulations as well.
5. It might take more time for an external company to get the required permissions in order to start the company.
6. The setup cost can be high in the case of a new country.
What can be done to overcome this-
Well, there can be multiple ways to tackle these problems-
1. We can tie up with an existing player and have some sort of partnership that can mutually benefit both parties. We can use the already existing facilities, consumer base, network and permissions of the partner company
2. We can first carry a detailed analysis of the market and once we have a clear understanding, then only we should proceed in order to be in a much better position.
3. We can use the help of some local people and include them in the business in order to get the things sorted in less time as the local people would be familiar with the processes, consumer behavior etc.
