Social Media marketing is such a strong and great strategy as it will bring numerous benefits to the organisation. It will lead to a better brand building in the eyes of the public. It will also increase the inbound traffic on the website as well as business. Even the search engine ranking will improve thus creating loyalty of the customer and the value of business in the public image. Conversion rates of sales will invariably increase. This will also reduce the cost of marketing on other platforms by generating higher revenue.

However the challenges that can come are related to various evaluation of techniques that whether they are able to give the return on investment. Designing a social media strategy is not easy and comes with its own pros and cons. Not even this but getting followers on social media is also time consuming and challenging at times. Connecting and communication with the audience on social media also requires lot of effort and monitoring. Lastly if data management is not done in a proper way then there are huge chances of missing out on leads.

Misusing social media can decrease the efficiency of the employee and makes them distracted and addictive. This is also dangerous for the company as the goals will not be met timely. Also any information published about the organisation which is not ethically right can demolish the reputation and can even risk the job of an employee

Managing online reputation is essential to have positive brand image in the eyes of the public. Mostly consumers before making any purchase check the ratings and reviews about the organisation. So bad image online means loss of revenue and downfall.

Social media should be used ethically in order to safeguard your image everywhere. People are free to express them freely so any policy which may not be right in the organisation can be shared on the internet. This is the permanent information which is known to entire world. Social media policies are made in the organisation so that people are aware of what is right and what is not to be shared online.
