Expert Solution

The major issues migrant labor faced were:

  • The poor working conditions for the migrant labors while native labors had better working conditions
  • They had to face the problem of identity as they were not considered as real Americans
  • The migrants labor would not get paid according to their works they had to work more but would get low wages
  • The discrimination between migrant labors and native labors at work place
  • The low living conditions due to low wages
  • They had poor economic and social status

The government has made so many policies for the development of labor classes which has reduces these issues to some extent but still they face so many problems. The discrimination at work place still exist they have to face so many economic and social problems.

Unions have helped migrant workers in addressing their problems and have played the role of itermediator between workers and the employers.

The following issues remain to be addressed concerning migrant workers today:

  • The discrimination between the migrant workers and the native works at work place. The employer also gives more preference to native workers
  • The poor standard of living of migrant workers is a big concern
  • They don’t get the benefit of schemes which are made for American workers as they are not the native of America

I would recommend that the employer should treat his workers equally irrespective of their nation and the workers should get benefit according to their hard work and productivity not on the bases of their status. There should be schemes to improve their economic and social status and they should be considered as a part of our society
