Kwashiorkor: Malnutrition produced by a severely inadequate amount of protein in the diet. Commonly seen in children whose diets are low in protein and calories. Common symptoms are delayed growth in children, distended abdomen, pitting oedema in ankles, thin hair, fatty liver, apathy, thin hair, dermatitis and frequent infections. Treatment includes correction of hypoglycemia, hypothermia, dehydration, providing a high-calorie diet.

Leukaemia: It is the cancer of blood-forming tissues, especially bone marrow, resulting in an abnormal rise in the blood. The symptoms include fever, recurrent infection, tiredness, and bruising.

Reyes syndrome: It is a serious condition causing swelling of brain and liver

Rheumatic carditis:It is the inflammation of heart and heart tissue, characterised by increased heart rate, dyspnea, exercise intolerance, fatigue. It also affects blood vessels and joints.

Rheumatic fever: It is an inflammatory disease that affects the heart, skin brain, and joints. It is caused by group A streptococcus.

Rickets: It is the softening and weakening of bone caused by a prolonged and severe deficiency of Vitamin D

Scurvy: It is caused by the deficiency of Vitamin C. It is characterised by swollen, spongy gum, which is in risk for bleeding, bulging eyes, loose tooth, bleeding through the skin, scaly and dry skin, thin hair.

Spina bifida: It is a birth defect that occurs due to the improper growth of the spinal cord and spine. Incomplete closing of the spine during the early pregnancy.

Tetralogy of fallout: It is a rare heart condition, which includes pulmonary valve stenosis. overriding of the aorta, left ventricular hypertrophy and ventricular septal defect
