what is the difference between clean, sterile, and asepsis techniques?
•Clean technique- Clean technique means decrease the possible chance of tranmission of bacteria by the using of some technique.
Example- Hand washing before any procedure is the clean technique to reduce the chance of transmission microorganism.
•Aseptic Technique-Asepsis means the absence of micro organism. Aseptic technique use to prevent the transmission of microbes from environment to the patient through the susceptable area.
•Example- Cleansing the skin by antiseptic solution before the cut on the skin.
•Use the aseptic technique before any procedure like central line insertion, cannulation ,during surgery ,during biopsy to prevent from the transmission of nosocomial infection.
•Sterile technique- Sterile means free from micro organism . Create the sterile field during any procesure to minimize the entery of micro organisms.
•Example- maintain sterile field by the sterile gloves ,sterile gown, sterile cut sheet and sterile instrument to use in any procesure.like any surgery, catheter insertion.
