The phenomenon of globalization is a complex process. It has brought opportunities as well as challenges with it. The opening up of global market opportunities has exposed us to other cultures. This way we can come to understand other cultures and find new ways to embrace their music, food, clothes, and lifestyles. Globalisation can lead to a ‘global Village’.

The expectation with globalization was that with increased international trade will increase manifold that will generate immense wealth for countries. Consequently, with this wealth, the countries will be able to take care of their social needs and work towards alleviating poverty. Through globalization peace among and within countries and environment, protection will be promoted. Whereas the reality is different. Globalisation has proved worthwhile only for the rich countries. The rich countries are dominating the rules and regulations. Not only this, within the countries rich have become richer and the poor poorer. The phenomenon of globalization has instilled deeper very those problems that it was promising to remove.
