Discuss the following quote from Steve Jobs, Co-Founder of Apple, Inc. Also, detail whether you agree/disagree with the quote and why. Please support your stance with specific details.
"Apple is a very disciplined company, and we have great processes. But that's not what it's about. Process makes you more efficient." (min 200 words)
The quote states about Apple which is an efficient business making iPhone and iPad like gadgets that are very well made with the best of consumer satisfaction to have kept the brand alive and running. This discipline has made the business big and thus so potent in its markets.
I agree with what Mr. Jobs has to say in regards to the discipline in the business as the source of Apple’s growth and success. The discipline means that each product is equally well made. This practice in manufacturing needs a specific discipline which makes the brand more engrossed in the processes that it follows thus making the job repeat which ensures that the standards and quality are equal for each of Apple’s products. The process of manufacturing is been spoken of which is unique and meant for Apple products only. Hence the process that the business follows has to be made in a way that is efficient and ensures the quality for each of the products made.
Say to assemble a specific product one has to do the job over and over again they become competent in the same so the outcomes like the processes followed in one line of assembling would be specific and thus give the outcome which is desired for an Apple product to be equally well for all products. This makes the process exhaustive and more efficient to get the product outcomes for the business.
