Professor Joe has decided that his days of educating the future business leaders in the art and science of marketing are over. He has decided to pursue his first passion and that is to open a BBQ food truck focusing on authentic Cuban BBQ. That’s right – giving up the lectern for the BBQ trailer! However, as he transitioned to his new career he forgot everything about which factors are most important in establishing an advertising budget and how that impacts the selection of the right print media to communicate his message to potential customers – those living and working in Downtown St. Paul on lunch break. That being said, what questions would you recommend Professor ask when selecting the print ad and how would specific budget factors impact his selection?

Solutions

Expert Solution

First of all Professor Joe is not the only player in the market to serve authentic Cuban BBQ in Downtown St. Paul. To make a good and attractive impression on the existing BBQ cuban loving customer he should focus on the those points on which ha can give extra benefit to the cusomer. E.g home delivery services, lower price but high quality food etc.

Also, he should make idea how to attract new customer. So, while printing ad he should include all this idea together to make it a impressive one to attrach his potential customer.

After identifying the target customer and also identifying their behavior towards media like- do they listen/read to internet ad,newapaper ad, transportation ad, tv, radio etc he should select the correct advertising media.

So question to professor joe while selecting the print ad and how would specific budget factors impact his selection

* why your service is different and more beneficial to customer than other existing players

* who are my target customer

* how to make good impact on completely new customer who never tried BBQ

* which ad media can impact most for the target customer

* which ad media cost how much

* does the ad cost is within the ad budget

This way he can select print ad and these are the specific budget factors can impact his selection.
