Consider, for example, the effects of age on Internet use. Do you think that younger people, who have grown up using the Internet, know how to use it to build community? • 1.Culture is one of the factors that determine the way people think, act and interact; and it is composed of many layers. Some of them are obvious, such as customs, arts, food and celebrations. Others, such as social status, body language, social interaction, sense of humor, concept of time, or even the definition of insanity, aren’t as noticeable.
  
• High-context cultures, which include many Asian, South American and African countries, value society and collectivity. Group harmony and intuition are important concepts. Context is more valuable than words themselves, and much of the meaning of speech is implied. Body language, eye behavior and even the use of silence are valued means of communication.
• In low-context cultures, however, facts, descriptions and precision of words are considered a lot more important than context. Logic is also given more credit than intuition and society tends to be individualistic. It is customary to speak out and explain one’s point of view in detail.
• There are gestures which are not the same the world over but instead are culturally conditioned. In some groups of people for a person to shake their heads as if saying - for a European - No; they are in fact saying ; Yes. Some gestures are offensive in some cultures which pass as unknown in others or even sometimes as messages which are neutral of provocation.
• Too often, we find ourselves assuming knowledge about an entire culture based on misleading sources of information, be that the media or a misinformed friend. As a result, cultural stereotyping has grown.Culture shapes people’s attitudes about others, and because they have these attitudes, it influences how we see ourselves.
• Because you are part of those groups, you are more likely to think in certain ways, behave in certain ways because our culture influences those groups to think and behave in those ways.Being an American, being a teenager, being white, being a female all of these are groups that you could be part of.
• Humans are made to be social beings who tend to form bonds more easily with people who are in the same groups, also known as ingroups.
  
• Since I belong to an Asian Indian culture,my upbring,my social groups of family and friends have shaped up my beliefs and how I view the world.I value family relationships more.In our culture marriage is extremely important,and thats how my belief system has been shaped of one single marriage throughout life. So,yes culture does shape human behaviour and beliefs,personally and professionally both.
• At workplce as well,organizations in India focus on togetherness and working in unity,valuing not only employee-employer relation but also client reltionships.Team work is considered more important and treating employees as family members is the basic work ethic.
