Compare Android and
iOS:
Android:
- Android is one of the most used mobile technologies and is also
open source software. It is made up from LINUX
family of Operating Systems.
- With android comes the feature of high customizability which
gives users the freedom of customizing almost everything in
Android.
- The developer of the Android Operating system is Google
& Open Handset Alliance. It also consists of 100+
languages to be used from.
- It consists of a File Manager which can be used by the users to
know how files are stored in the operating system.
- The security updates and patches for security vulnerabilities
are been taking a time to recover as development is really slow and
cannot be managed fast.
- It consists of native integrations with the cloud storages in
partnership with Google and also can be used with tons of
applications providing space such as Dropbox, Amazon, OneDrive,
etc.
- There is the use of widgets which makes it easy for users to
handle the applications accordingly.
iOS:
- It is a private operating system with the use of open source
components and hence, the users don't have any access to use it
freely.
- It was made up by Apple Inc. with making use
of OS X and UNIX family of operating system.
- The customization cannot be done like that in Android because
there is no such freedom in iOS until and unless it is been
jailbroken.
- There are no widgets in use except the Notification
Center.
- It can operate in almost 30-34 languages in total which as
compared to Android is very less.
- It consists of no file manager which makes it tougher for the
users to manage the Files in the phone.
- There will be hardly any security updates as encountering
problems or vulnerabilities in the phones with iOS as they never
give chance to access core part of technologies to any user.
- The complete control over the device is not at all available in
the devices which makes the user very confined to what they do in
the devices.
- There is a cloud storage integration which makes it easy for us
to operate the file and also can make use of other applications
providing the same services.
Hence, these are the commons and differences in Android and
iOS.
