Are we in an Era of globalization. Why or why not? Include definitions of key terms like globalization, the nation-state, and nationalism. Consider how this "era" differs from others such as that of empire, trade, or polarization.
Globalization revolves around technological and social advances, which further leads to advances in trade and cultural relativism throughout the world. Large-scale globalization began in the 1820s. The "second globalization" began in 1944 and ended in 1971. This led to the third era of globalization, which began in 1989 and continues today. In the late 19th century and early 20th century, the connectivity of the world's economies and cultures grew very quickly.
We are in an era in which intangible assets have gained prominence in value creation, while global value chains continue to integrate. Evidence suggests that market consolidation will continue to grow in the coming years. There is a growing feeling around the world that globalization has come to an end and that a new order is coming.
Thus, it is concluded that we are living in the last stage of globalisation and it is coming to an end.
