From the experience as a volunteer in a clothing shop, Cottonworld Ltd. Based on the ethical theories and professional ethics related to the business and its operations in the economy. The ethical theories are the foundation for making decisions because the ethical theories play a crucial role in seeking viewpoints from the employees while making decisions in the shop. Each theory emphasis different viewpoints, not everyone makes decisions in the same direction. To make understand the ethical theory, the organization sets common goals that decision-makers seek to be successful.
In the normative theories, the concept involves arriving at a common ground at moral standards to regulate right and wrong conduct. For example, the ethical structure act on the clothing shop is based on the principle of, everyone should do to external clients what we employees would want others to do to us. If every employee provides a positive outcome with respect, trust, and mutual acceptance in the work, the same ethics return from the others. In the normative theories, the attention is understandable, the core purpose is to serve is to articulate and practice the ethical code in the business, and provide a space to be reliable and justifiable principles to determine the behavior and moral.
The major levels in the normative principle based on the clothing shop are the structure of moral standards in the business, general moral principles, and any kind of specific or particular principles or judgments. In the shop, I observe the three levels starting from moral standards and it generates the general moral principles, and finally, they build solid judgments and specific moral principles for the clothing business.
Ethics are concerned about what we do, and not what we ought to do. The major three elements of ethics or the foundation I noticed in the segment are utilitarian ethics, deontological ethics, and virtue ethics. It showcases the principles of ethical practices in the shop by defining, the better ethics is to do good for the greatest number of people, always ensure to treat the employee with dignity and respect in the shop, and what characters defines a good public relations manager for dealing with the stakeholders. The ethical theories are utilized in the business to analyze the situation. The professional ethics always reflect the profile of the company and how it forming the relations with the stakeholders. The shop actually applying ethics by considering the decisions that benefit the majority of the staff, make an effort to understand the duty of one, and act accordingly.
The professional ethics always circulated with the personal life as well as the corporate standards of behaviors from the employees and the business offers training and employee self-development approaches to meet the points. In the shop, the ethics are always strived with the values, like avoid the child labor practices, against the discrimination, equal pay for the employees based on the levels, consider the health and safety factors, always ensure the environmental safety, and no animal cruelty. Always focus to refrain from any illegal activities, unethical conduct, and dishonest to others both external and internal stakeholders. Ensure to channelize the business with accountability, transparency, financial credibility, code of ethics, treat everyone with respect, and core integrity by following the sustainable practices are the major elements in the professional ethics of the business.
