Five Guidelines are as below:

  • Respect people in the workplace/organization.
  • Follow treatment policy with people in the work place.
  • Help and support people to the extent possible.
  • Request for help from concern people.
  • Behave in a professional manner and do not exercise ego in the behavior

Examples:

  • Express good morning with people in the work place.
  • Hand shake with team members and meet openly.
  • Take appointment and have a formal discussion with expert people in the work place.
  • Seek guidance and inputs from senior people in the work place.
  • Try to spare more time with experts and seniors in the work place for better learning opportunities.

Specific reason that these are important in maintaining ethical and collaborative practices because these help in maintaining the ethical environment and ethical culture in the workplace. These practices help in maintaining the ego of seniors / experts and the team members. Our ethical behavior lower downs the ego of experts/seniors and then they will allow us to speak to them and they will willing to share their experience and expertise with the new comer people. Ethical behavior is the key approach to have good support and response from the seniors/experts in the organization.

Professional and fair ramifications for the absence of professional and courteous behavior are as below:

  • The relationship among the employees will not be ethical and proper.
  • These will result in unethical environment and culture in the work place
  • People will not be supportive and will have issues among them
  • Team work concept will be struggling in the work place and the synergy of the team will not be generated.
  • We will not be able to see the professional culture and professional environment in the work place.
