The dark side refers to the challenges that an entrepreneur face which not only impact his mental health but also his social life and family.
Firstly the entrepreneur invests all his savings to make his dream come true but the hard reality is that business doesn't pay you so quickly. First few years of operations may require you to use your own resources without paying back anything. This is the time when financial crunch arises disturbing the peace at family front also.
Secondly your personal life hampers, your relationships are affected as your commitment towards your dream grows. Starting an entrepreneur requires lot of time and effort which leads you to ignore your family and friends.
Thirdly, having with less resources you will try to become the best HR, finance manager , technician and a supervisor. But all this will lead you more pressurized and it becomes difficult to cope up with everything thus affecting your mental peace and leading you frustrated.
Being an entrepreneur means making decisions which are crucial and one wrong decision affects your image not only in an organisation but in society as well. This haunts you day and night and increases the baggage of things. Your family no matter how much tries to support you, but may at time will fail to understand the decisions that you take for your business.
Being optimistic in such times becomes really hard as nothing is
moving the way you desire. You can neither continue the business if
there are losses nor you can end it due to debts. Any decision you
take will have its own negative consequences. This creates a
feeling of helplessness, loneliness and leading to depression. Thus
affecting your entire family which is dependent on you.
