Systems engineering:
Take an example of a complex system (real or made up). According to the System Engineering Flow diagram, chart all different stages of its development. Also give the task participation by different participants (Sys. Engg, Test Engg., Design Engg. etc.) at different levels.
To generalize system engineering contains the following briefed steps
-elicitation of requirements
-analysis
-design
-construction
-testing
-operation
-validation
-maintenance
each stage has involvement of many people of the organization , they engage in analyis, designing, testing, deployment etc...
this whole process involves stackholders directly or indirectly.
system engineering can be mainly divided into 4 stages they are:
1.TASK DEFINITION
2.CONCEPTUAL STAGE.
3.DESIGN STAGE
4.IMPLEMENTATION STAGE.
consider a case study aircraft
-in the initial stage of requirements analysis the requirements required for the aircraft design are gathered. this can be done either with offline meeting or direct interview. requirements are revised by the analyst once gathered.these are again checked by the analyst to make any necessary changes for the client to get the required system
-in the next stage requirements are analysed to get the categorized requirements which will be the input for the design stage.the analyst analyses and remove all the unwanted requirements and generalize them
- in the design phase the design engineers take care of the design and make sure that every requirement is involved as requested by the customer .the design includes all the requirements of the aircraft . this design is later given as a input to the developer to develop the system.
- in the next phase the developer develops the system based on the requirements mentioned in the design . all the coders integrate their code which is in modules like engine, passengers , tickets etc... to make the whole system
-in the next phase where the testing is done , all the code written by the developer is tested by the tester and make it ready for the release
-management phase is done by the service team where the system after system is then released and then asked by the user for any feedback and later deployed
these phases complete the whole system engineering process.
