The differences between HR diagrams of both open star cluster
and globular clusters are follows:
Open star
cluster :
- HR diagram shows group of hundred of stars which are clustered
openly .
- Open cluster is filled with young stars that were born in
nebula.
- Open clusters are located in the spiral arm of milky way
galaxy.
- H R diagram shows the cluster of bright blue stars.
- It contains irregularly shaped grouping of stars.
Globular cluster:
- HR diagram shows tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of
stars.
- Globular cluster is filled with old stars that were born when
the universe was younger .
- Globular clusters are located in the halo or bulge of a
galaxy.
- HR diagram shows the cluster of bright red giant stars.
- It contains highly symmetrical balls of star.
